Italy - 2003 Estate Barbara D'Alba
Italy - 2003 Estate Barbara D'Alba

A wonderful scent of ripe black-cherries. It is full and warm in the mouth, rich in extract, complex with a pleasantly soft taste due to the delicate tannins developed in barrel aging. Fernando Rivetto planted the Barbera producing vineyard between 1944-45 by hand, in his honor the family named it Zio Nando. The first bottle of Barera D'Alba was produced in 1950. Here's to over 50 years of producing one of the regions best Barbera.
 France - 2002 Puligny-Montrachet
France - 2002 Puligny-Montrachet

Puligny is a charming village situated slightly more than six miles south of the city of Beaune in the heart of Burgundy, in the Côte d’Or region. It lies at the foot of a band of vines producing one of the greatest white wines on earth. Bottled by the world-renowned négociant Chauvot-Labaume, the 2002 Puligny-Montrachet is an old-world wine representing the terroir of the region magnificently. A delightful luminescent pale gold Chardonnay with an elegant, perfumed nose layered with pear, green apple, vanilla, and a little spice. Light to medium bodied with a silky texture. This wine is richly layered and very well-balanced. It shows excellent acidity and crisp fresh fruit from the first sip through the very long and complex finish. A superb example of a traditional Puligny-Montrachet white Burgundy. 100% Chardonnay. Drink now or up to 2008.
 Argentina - 2003 Tempranillo
Argentina - 2003 Tempranillo

Tempranillo - Reserve 2003 - Lujan de Cuyo Tempranillo(tem-prah-NEE-yoh) is Argentina’s second leading varietal with some very unique characteristics. First made popular as a base for Spain’s Roija wines, Tempranillo grapes produce a vibrant dark violet wine with a crimson edge. Aromas of rich plummy fruits with a touch of licorice are prevalent and with a little time (in the glass) the 2003 Tempranillo Reserve will open to a lush and complex bouquet. On the palate the Tempranillo is soft and tangy displaying a rich, fruity, spicy character, packed with ripe berry fruits, rich plums with a hint of sweet vanilla. A well rounded structure and soft tannins fill the mouth. Fresh black ground pepper and light buttery toffee carry through the lingering finish. Un-oaked style, 100% Estate grown, Tempranillo grapes. Lujan de Cuyo Region.

Spain - 2001 Reserva Especial Senoria de Sarria

(rey-ZEHR-vah EH-spe-si-al) Aged for 24 months in oak, and another year in the bottle, this Reserva Especial is an intense deep red that is ready to enjoy now. This classic Navarran blend received an impressive 91 Points from the Wine Spectator magazine — “Rich and plush, this voluptuous red delivers blackberry, chocolate and cinnamon notes, with ripe currants and a dark chocolate finish. Quite oaky, but well-integrated and still fresh. Drink now until 2011.” At thevery prestigious Challenge International du Vin in France this delicious wine won the only Gold Medal given to a Spanish wine. In Belgium, it earned a second Gold Medal at the Monde International Wine Competition. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Mazuelo, 20% Tempranillo. Pair with red meats, wild game, and the strongest of imported cheeses.
 Australia - 2004 Shiraz
Australia - 2004 Shiraz

Shiraz is Australia’s highest profile and best known wine and this vintage was awarded a Gold Medal winner by the Daily Wine News. A deep ruby color, with a rich nose of fresh fruity plums and spices. An earthiness unfolds with licorice, cloves and oak. Well balanced, soft and juicy, with a complex structure. The wine is deliciously robust. Serve with beef, lamb, Greek dishes or spicy entrees. The shiraz grape initially came to Australia over 100 years ago from its home, Hermitage, in the Rhone area of France. Due to extensive replanting in France, many think the Australian vines are purer and represent the varietal better than what you can find in France today. Shiraz is grown throughout Australia and is typically bottled as 100% Shiraz.
New Zealand - 2005 Sauvignon Blanc
New Zealand - 2005 Sauvignon Blanc

Oz Clarke, one of the world’s leading wine experts, summed up the impact of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc in his Wine Atlas, “ . . . a brilliantly successful wine style that the rest of the world has been attempting to copy ever since.” The Sileni “The Sounds” 2005 Sauvignon Blanc is an outstanding illustration of New Zealand’s most popular varietal from Estate grown fruit in Marlborough. The 2005 “Sounds” won the coveted Gold Medal at the New Zealand International Wine Show, a Silver Medal at the China International Wine Challenge and a Silver Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Peter Saunders of Winestate magazine writes; “Pristine looking, this just bursts with powerfully pungent aromas of ripe capsicums and passion fruit. Deliciously mouth-watering and crisp, the intensity of this wine is stunning, and the silky, slippery textures lend refinement and class. The superb, long finish is a highlight. For a benchmark Sauvignon, one could hardly do better than this outstanding wine.” 100% Estate Sauvignon Blanc.
